The final round of the Scottish Sidecars and Knockhill Motorsports Club Championships was held at Knockhill on the 2nd/3rd September over a sunny but gusty weekend. I was only there for the second day which was punctuated by a number of red flags and long periods of inactivity.

KMSC 300s

The KMSC 300 race was red flagged and the later restart also ended in a red flag on the first lap. While leading the restart, Jeffrey’s bike locked up at the hairpin. Troy landed awkwardly and both marshals and medical staff were quickly on the scene and attended to him. Troy’s Facebook page has since reported that he broke his collarbone, chipped a bone in his elbow and had many grazes but “cheered up when he found out he was 2023 KMSC 300’s Champion”.

Further delays in the program led to an extended break which didn’t resume until 16.50 for the F2 sidecars which was won by Crawford/Hardie.

KMSC Superbikes and KMSC Clubman race

Steven Allison took the lead on the first lap of the KMSC Superbikes and KMSC Clubman race. Unfortuately Steven slid off the next lap at McIntyre’s, his Yamaha hitting the tyre wall. The race was won by Adon Davie.
